Previous research in the LGBTQ+ demographic in the area of death anxiety has been scarce, and largely focused on the level of death anxiety in gay men with aids. This study sought to examine the differences in death anxiety in LGBTQ+ participants vs straight participants. As head researcher for this project, I conducted the literature review, refined the research question, and refined the methods used. With my research team, we recruited participants and analyzed data. No significant findings were discovered. Further research may include a larger sample size and investigation on the role that religiosity plays in death anxiety among LGBTQ+ and straight individuals.
